In 2018 JW Lees launched their own take on the craft beer market with their series of small batch beers under the name of The Boilerhouse. The brief required a clash of old and new that would stand out on the shelf and over the bar.
The design was inspired by the screenprints of Sister Corita Kent and the unique logo mash-ups of Charles S Anderson, taking elements from the 200-year history of the brand and clashing them with a pool of contemporary small batch logo.
The final set of designs were used across a range of bottled beers and within multiple pubs around the UK. The work was also featured in Creative Review.
